Ella Hudson

Ella Hudson

Ella Hudson from Delphi Community High School is the Carroll County Community Foundation 2023 Lilly Endowment Inc. Community Scholar. Ella, daughter of Micah and Jennifer Hudson, was a member of the varsity soccer team and an assistant coach for the middle school youth soccer league.

She was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, and active in the theater program.

In the community, Ella is in 4-H, a Junior Rotarian with the Interact Club, and volunteers regularly with Food Finders Food Bank. Ella plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to study elementary and special education.

The Foundation recognized the achievements of the other four finalists with $1,000 scholarships. They are Anna Goodrich and Johnna Kinzie of Carroll Senior High School, and Caitlyn Snavely and Maguire Thompson from Delphi Community High School.

Lexus Foust

Frankfort High School student Lexus Foust is the Clinton County Community Foundation 2023 Lilly Endowment Inc. Community Scholar. Foust is the daughter of Michael and Amber Foust.

A varsity cheerleader and president of the National Honor Society, Foust competed in the Purdue Regional Science Fair, advancing to the international level once and the state level three times. She was a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference representative for her school. Lexus mentors children at the local Boys and Girls Club, volunteers with a children services group, and works part time in food service.

Lexus plans to attend Purdue University to study neuro-biology.

The Foundation recognized the achievements of the other four finalists with $1,000 renewable scholarships. They are Lillian Cline, Clinton Central High School; Trey Haynes and Erika Stephenson of Frankfort High School; and Lillian Sharp, Rossville High School.

Two Northwestern High School students are the 2023 Community Foundation of Howard County Lilly Endowment Inc. Community Scholars. Alexander Arnold, son of Shirley Arnold, and Janna Wilson, daughter of Billy and Jill Wilson, will receive the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

About Alexander Arnold

This Northwestern High School student hopes to apply a passion for computer science to a career where he can make a difference in health network technology. Alexander has been involved in German Club at school, and, in the community, he volunteers at Goodwill and works part time in food service and for a home remodeling business. Alexander plans to attend Butler University to major in pharmacology.

About Janna Wilson

When she was not playing trumpet in the Northwestern High School marching band, Janna served as team captain of the CyberTooth 3940 Robotics Team. She also served as a board member to the FIRST Indiana Robotics Student Board of Directors, helping to solve problems in the robotics community. Janna hopes to continue working with robotics and she plans to attend Trine University to major in mechanical engineering.

The Foundation recognized the accomplishments of the other finalists with $1,500 scholarships. They are Ava Cothern, Sophia Justice, Amanda Silver, and Noah Thompson from Kokomo High School, and Allison DeYoung from Eastern High School.
